Initially neutral bland walls so the goal was to personalise & contrast new - old, light - dark, shiny - matt materials or challenging colours. The focus was to play with accumulation, bring in memories ( ref. to childhood - loved ones) by integrating old fabrics ( eg. part of their own clothing) to lighting - adding details ( eg. jewellery) to sculptures. Transforming cushions / seating to create meaningful alterations that end in a completely  bespoke result, full of mood & warmth to suit the season. The key for a house to feel homely is by daring to reveal a part of yourself. Demonstrating in a subtle way only known to the resident, by telling her story with elegance & thoughtfulness.
